Memories of Previous Holidays
Turkey Day in Kanab
Wanting the rolls to be nice and toasty brown....no amount of cajoling would convince them to leave the pan! We even shook them upside down! We ended up having to dig them out with a spoon.............it hurts more! (reward, if you can name that flick)Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Wednesday, November 5, 2008 !Welcome to Canada! We have the weather and now the Government to go with it! I hope we all survive, without having to to say "Ahye" every so often.
We made it through the Carter years, and the Clinton years, so I guess the Canadian/Obama/Socialism years will go by as well......
We are blessed that we have a "Brightness of Hope".........ahye?

SPIDER BUSHES

Wow! What a difference! We are so excited to get rid of the "spider bushes". Art came with his backhoe and pulled them all up. The HOA is going to put in a "low-water" feature in the front entry.....but I think we're just going to put sod down by our patio. We might have to put in some kind of bush or something to "hide" the gas meter. It can't be too prickly though or the gas man will not be a happy camper. The only sad thing is that the baby quail have had their nests there for the past few years.
We do know that we need to include some googley-eyes....because we need to know where we stand with the dirt......Tell us what you think about our ideas!

Parade of Homes 2008
The kitchen is nice and open. The hardwood floors are cherrywood, the cabinets are a combination of cherry, white or green ! I know that sounds kind of "funky" but it really works!

"Tag, You're It !"
20 Years ago: 1988- I was working with TransDesigns. Busy mom of Hillarie, (12) Nick (11) Brianna, (8) Cortanie, (6). Was the Chorister in Primary.
10 Years ago: 1998- My 8th year at Ethan Allen. Grandmother of 3 baby girls--what a difference 10 years makes! Was the Chorister in Primary--again, not still!
5 years ago: 2003-Thirteenth year at EA. Grandmother to 3 girls, 1 boy. Kalli and Gabe are "on the horizon" Still the Primary Chorister . Cortanie is going to Florida.

3 years ago: 2005 Most of the family was still speaking to each other. We added another grand daughter and expected another grandson. Left EA
1 year ago: 2007-Retired from EA for 2 years. There are now 8 almost 9 grandchildren. Broke my foot at school while substitute teaching. Enduring "wonderful menopause". Yes, still enjoying Primary.
This year so far: Life is changing-There are now 5 grandsons and 4 grand daughters. The Brownings are in Arizona, the Yosts are back to PR. Cortanie is back in SL (with the 2 "grand-puppies). The Jacobs Crew have a new home in NSL.
Yesterday: August 31, 2008- Primary Music Summer Olympics. (getting ready for the annual Primary Program) Had tuna sandwich for Sunday Dinner. Cursed my "new-haircut" Cortanie gave me Saturday night. Read Mosiah, and went to bed.
Today: Went to Leamington "Lemerado Days" with Robert, Rebecca, Zachary, Craig and Cortanie, where Robert and Cortanie tried to retain the water balloon toss title...oops!
Tomorrow: Planning to sleep-in. Might get the 2007 taxes done. Thinking about doing some laundry, or maybe balance my checkbook. A full day, for sure!
Next year: Consider filing my 2008 taxes. Enjoying the end of the Iraq War, and watching President McCain's State of the Union Address. Go to Europe for 34th Anniversary. Kissing all of my grand-children and looking forward to more of them!
AND NOW I "TAG" CORTANIE
